Dedication to Steel Education

  • Steelmaking Courses: In collaboration with National Taiwan University, National Tsinghua University, National Cheng Kung University, National Sun Yat-sen University, and National Chung Hsing University, CSC has offered related courses about steelmaking in those universities taught by professional engineers from the CSC Group, who have combined theory with practical experience in their teaching to nurture talents in the field of steelmaking. In recent years, it has cooperated with the Departments of Machinery and Electrical Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University, to offer an introduction course on steelmaking equipment and technology to nurture relevant talents needed in the steel industry.
  • Scholarships: Scholarships have been offered to students with steel talent to encourage them to study courses related to steel and metal materials and to attract outstanding talents to serve in the steel industry.
  • CSC Camps: College students are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones and give themselves a chance to make breakthroughs. With cross-field studies, they can learn from each other and create unforgettable memories.
  • Devotion to Steel Education: The Steel Journey Activity, the King of Wisdom Summer Camp, and popular science education activities for elementary school students are held to let them become aware of the existence of the most common metal in their life. Recently, nurturing of women in the field of natural science and technology has been promoted, and female engineers within the Group have been invited to share their learning experiences and careers on the campus as a means to encourage more female students to pursue their dreams.
  • Continuous promotion of the upgrade of the domestic steel industry: CSC sponsors steel-related seminars and the steelChallenge by worldsteel.
  • Teacher training: Seed teachers have been nurtured, and opportunities have been given to them so that they can understand difficult concepts in the steel industry in a simple way.
  • Publication: Publication of books on steel.
