CSC Group voluntarily launched the Employee Green-Living Program to turn the group into a low-carbon green enterprise. The Program entered the second phase in 2015. The 5 LOHAS categories are dieting, clothing, housing, transportation and education, recreation and other living aspects. To help employees understand personal carbon footprints, CSC in 2016 developed a CSC Group Low- Carbon Life Recorder for Group employees to record diet and traffic carbon emissions during their work hours.
In order to encourage the CSC Group to all participate in creating a low-carbon and green lifestyle, besides conducting a green lifestyle assessment of CSC in early March every year, a “Green Life Performance Excellence Award” is given as a reward. In 2019, the reward was restructured into “Green Life Proposal”, which was first carried out on a trial basis with the goal to stimulate the entire group to stimulate green ideas and actions.
In 2024, China Steel Global Trading Corporation 、 GAINS Investment Corporation 、 China Prosperity Development Corporation、 Sing Da Marine Structure 、 China Steel Solar Energy Co., Ltd. and Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation, etc are practice green life together.
