CSC citizens’ lectures
 

 
The citizens’ lectures take place regularly, which sincerely invite everyone living in Kaohsiung to spend an afternoon to enhance the cultural quality and make them a habit of taking the public transportation.

 

Co-organize with the Teacher Chang Foundation, hold the spiritual growth lectures. Many international volunteers, mentors have been invited to be the lecturers. By this action, we hope that it could bring the positive energy to our society and meanwhile increase the citizens’ humanities.

The CSC Camp is held in winter vacation, which is for the undergraduates and the graduate students. Through the direct visits to the upstream and the downstream of the steel’s industry and the designs of the related courses, make the participants realize the prospect and the vision of this industry and attract more people to devote themselves to it.
 

Engineer’s week (E-WEEK) was an activity focusing on technology education initiated by the US National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). In 2002, it was first time that CSC and IBM worked together to bring this activity to southern Taiwan. In 2013, CSC and IBM launched their second cooperation by organizing the “E-week” activities in Kaohsiung to encourage senior high school students to think outside the box and to cultivate critical thinking and creativity.

 

Working with Kaohsiung creativity center to hold the Creative Roberts Soccer Games, we attempt to cultivate the international visions and the training of the creativity for the participants.
 

Environmental Education Camp takes place in summer vacation annually for the elementary school with higher grades. Up-close observation of the plants and the insects could potentially raise the children’ interests, which is beneficial to root the environmental concept into their minds.
 

Cooperate with National Science and Technology Museum to provide Environmental Education Bus services reaching to the remote rural areas. With the portable and interactive teaching materials, the students can grasp the idea of saving energy and reduce the emission of carbons.
