In order to enhance technical level of domestic steel industry, assist downstream customers in product applications and processing, and promote the upgrade of the industry, CSC cooperates with the CSC Education Foundation, Corporate Synergy Development Center, Taiwan Steel and Iron Industries Association, the Chinese Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers, etc. to jointly organize technical seminars based on themes with relevant domestic academic organizations, research centers, and industry associations every year to provide a platform for interactive exchanges, which has been widely acclaimed in the industry.
The contents of the seminars are plentiful and diverse, including material introduction, analysis techniques, application technology, industry trends, green energy and environmental protection, smart production, operational management, and other topics. At the seminars, CSC not only shares the knowledge it has accumulated over the years of hard work in the steel industry but also invites experts from the academia and the industry to serve as lecturers to share the latest technology and industry-related information, which aims to enhance the level of the domestic steel-related knowledge and promote the upgrade and development of the steel industry.

The seminars, approximately 10 to 12 sessions a year, held by CSC could be traced back to 1987. They had been suspended due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. As the pandemic control measures had been loosened, three video conference seminars had been held in the second half of 2022 in response to the ardent expectations of customers, and they have been resumed as normal since 2023. A total of 11 seminars have been held in 2024. All 11 seminars, shown in the table below, have been planned for 2025. The Technical Service Section of Metallurgical Dept. is responsible for the customer technical service, with the vision of “winning customers’ appreciation and trust, helping customers succeed” and with the purpose of “helping customers improve their technology and promoting the upgrading of the steel industry.” There are two main functions for The Technical Service Section. One is to represent CSC to provide the knowledge of product application and solve the problem for customers; the other is to represent customers to request CSC to develop and supply products for customers' needs. To strengthen and implement customer service, the Technical Service Section has set clear management objectives to follow up and review their results by month.
CSC supplies steel materials in a suitable, appropriate and timely manner and adopts the concept of “multi-level services” by conducting customer service in three stages: pre-sales, during-sales, and after-sales. The service team includes in-plant technical professionals and R&D experts, which assist the customers in solving problems of materials application and technology, and so promote the growth of the steel industry accordingly. CSC has further formulated regulations regarding customer complaints and claims, and offers customers' feedback on CSC's steel products to the factories.
CSC has adopted the framework of the IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 in establishing the "Steel Product Quality Management System" to continuously improve the management processes and product quality. By implementing the IECQ HSPM QC 080000 hazardous substance process management system, CSC has established a hazardous substance management system to control the utilization of substances with significant impacts on the environment. All three systems are subject to annual assessment by a third-party certification body, and the reviews have been granted to CSC.
To ensure that products comply with international regulations and customer requirements, CSC sends samples of steel products and low risk raw materials to a third party external verification institution that complies with IEC 62321 and obtained ISO 17025 certification for TAF laboratories, using objective data to prove that CSC's products meet requirements. This fully shows that CSC's products do not contain hazardous substances, and the quality of all products comply with international regulations( such as: the EU RoHS, REACH-SVHCs, packaging regulations, Germany's AfPS GS PAHs, California Proposition 65, Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, and restricted substances of international motor vehicle manufacturers) and meet customer requirements.
According to customer needs, CSC can provide Hazardous Substances Chemical Contents Declaration & Warranty or Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
