In 2024, CSC collected approximately 17,371 million liters of reclaimed water from Fengshan Creek and and 6,857 million liters of reclaimed water from Linhai Industrial Park. In 2024, the average daily new water consumption of CSC has decreased by about 49.12 million liters, and the new water consumption per unit of steel billets is 2.03 tonnes/tCS, which is lower than the last year value of 2.16 tonnes/tCS.

Fengshan Creek Reclaimed Water Plant Demonstration Project

In August 2018, CSC began receiving 22 million liters of reclaimed water from Fengshan Creek Reclaimed Water Plant on a daily basis. Since the completion of capacity expansion at the reclaimed water plant in September 2019, CSC has been receiving around 40.5 million liters of reclaimed water from the plant each day. In May 2024, CSC cooperate with the Kaohsiung City Government and implement Hofa Industrial Park reclaimed water fulfillment project. Fengshan Creek Reclaimed Water Plant expanded reclaimed water supply by 9.7 million liters additionally. Since then, CSC began receiving 50.2 million liters of reclaimed water each day, substantially lowering the risk of disruptions to its water supply. In 2024, CSC used approximately 17,371 million liters of reclaimed water from Fengshan River; approximately 86,046 million liters of reclaimed water from Fengshan River was used in 2018-2024.
