A Brief Introduction of CSC
China Steel Corporation (CSC), located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, was established in December 1971. Its annual capacity of crude steel is about 10 million metric tons. The main products are steel plates, bars, wire rods, hot-rolled and cold-rolled coils, electrogalvanized coils, electrical steel coils, and hot-dip galvanized steel coils. It is currently the largest domestic steel manufacturer, about 55.8% of its products are domestically consumed and 44.2% exported mostly to Southeast Asia, Europe, and Japan.

Mr. C. C. Ma, the first chairman of China Steel Corporation, defined the CSC values as teamwork, entrepreneurial approach, down-to-earthiness and pursuit of innovation in the inaugural issue of the "CSC Bimonthly" published on January 28, 1976. While doing so, he laid the cornerstones of CSC's corporate culture.
