Union Organization Framework

The Member Representative meeting is the highest authority of the Union, with 100 member representatives elected by members from departments at each plant site. During adjournment, the Board of Directors is responsible for union affairs. The Board of Directors consists of 27 council members elected by member representatives; the Board of Directors has one chairperson who that is directly elected by the union members and represents the union and handles regular committee matters. The Secretariat and 8 functional groups implement union affairs. There is also a Board of Supervisors that supervises the operations of the Board of Directors.

Membership is compulsory for all qualified employees, excluding managers of certain sections such as the manager of the Employment Section (Human Resources Dept.) and the Guard and Fire Brigade (General Affairs Dept.), who are deemed as the representatives of the employer. At present, The Union members have covered all the employees who are qualified to join the Union.
