In particular, CSVC possesses the high-quality raw materials supplied from its parent companies, CSC and NSC, and the first-class production equipment to produce the highest grade steel products and to provide steel customers with the best products and services in Vietnam and Southeast Asia with the backup of many experiences and resources from CSC and NSC.

CSVC is a multinational corporation and has been not only striving to fulfill its corporate social responsibility to provide abundant job opportunities for local Vietnamese to promote the economic prosperity and development in Vietnam, but also actively implementing environmental protection.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF OPERATION

CSVC’s products can be divided into four categories:

  1. Hot-rolled pickled and oiled coils: The annual production capacity is 200,000 metric tons(MT). The products are mainly applied to manufacture automobile, motorcycle, construction, and various kinds of structural components.
  2. Cold-rolled steel coils: The annual production capacity is 500,000 MT. The products are mainly applied to manufacture home appliances, automobiles, drum, pipes, substrates for hot-dip galvanized steel, and structural steel with high strength.
  3. Hot-dip galvanized steel coils: The annual production capacity is 300,000 MT. The products are mainly applied to manufacture automobiles, home appliances, computer cases and accessories, and construction materials.
  4. Electrical steel coils: The annual production capacity is 200,000 MT. The products are mainly applied to manufacture energy-saving products, such as cores of motors, transformers, etc.

CSVC’s commercial division continues to seek new customers in Vietnam and explore potential industries. Its products, having won recognition from the customers, have been applied in the automobile, motorcycle, drum manufacturing, flux cored arc welding, home appliance, piping, and cutting (slitting) industries, all of which consume large amounts of steel. Its scope of markets has expanded from the south to the north of Vietnam.

In terms of export, CSVC has gradually gained prestige and export markets by collaborating with CSC, NSC’s trading subsidiary, and consortium networks. Its customers are mostly repetitive buyers, which is advantageous for maintaining stable sales.

As Vietnam is a member of the TPP/RCEP/AEC countries, it not only enjoys a number of preferential tariffs but also has great potential for future economic growth. CSVC will make use of the geographical and tariff advantages to develop its domestic and export sales by offering comprehensive CQDS operations (costs, quality, delivery, and services) in combination with the CSC Group’s technology, resources, and investment planning.

PROSPECTS

According to Bloomberg Markets Magazine, Vietnam ranked the first place of the world’s top 15 most promising frontier markets. As its infrastructure is vehemently underway, the demand for steel has increased. Furthermore, the Vietnamese government has listed the steel industry as a prioritized one to be developed. Since AEC, at the convergence between RCEP and TPP, was established in 2015, there were expected benefits.

The establishment of the plant in Vietnam not only allowed CSVC to get hold of the enormous domestic market but also obtained preferential tariffs within the ASEAN Free Trade Area. Having the aforementioned advantages, it can be even closer to the markets, lead downstream customers to form industry clusters, and continuously research and develop the width and depth of its products to create new demands.

As the ASEAN Economic Community is the third largest in population, the second largest in single markets, and the seventh largest economy globally, there are limitless business opportunities. It will gradually replace China as the next impetus that drives the development of the global economy. It will not merely play the role of a world factory, but one that will promote the growth of global steel consumption and be a new spotlight. Because the supply surpasses the demand in the global steel market, CSVC will seize the opportunity regarding the rise of the ASEAN countries. Being a Vietnam-based company, it will further advance to Southeast Asia and aim at the world with the raw materials and technological advantages provided by CSC.
