| DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMPANY | ||

China Steel Machinery Corporation (CSMC) was founded by China Steel Corporation
(CSC) on September 20th, 2001 through the takeover of state-owned Taiwan Machinery Manufacturing Corporation‘s assets and businesses. The current capital of CSMC is NT$1,600
million. Equipped with professional know-how and precision equipment and the solid
management and resources from CSC, CSMC has the typical heavy machinery equipment
works in Taiwan with business covering casting, heat treatment, constructional steelworks,
welding, mechanical processing, assembly, and commissioning. In addition, the production
base of CSMC has been extended to the hinterland of pier 74 at Kaohsiung Port and Yanchao Workshop. Based on technology, CSMC focuses on all training, zero occupational injuries,
minimizing hazards, and controlling optimized health and safety policies. It is now moving
towards EPC technology integration by introducing a special project management mode.
Following the CSC Group’s strategies on globalization and expansion of overseas businesses, CSMC is specialized in manufacturing, installation,commissioning, and maintenance of heavy equipment and providing manpower with expertise and project teams. CSMC has also established the overseas subsidiary namely Steel Machinery Vietnam Co., Ltd. |

| BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF OPERATION | ||
| CSMC holds outstanding records of manufacturing iron- and steelmaking equipment, rolling stock, wind turbine towers, offshore wind power underwater basic components, vertical automatic coil storage systems (VACSS), material handling equipment, petrochemical and power plant equipment, armored vehicles for the Ministry of National Defense, casting products, hydraulic engineering and other equipments. . In addition, CSMC has its own specialized hydraulic cylinder center and bogie fabrication center. In recent years, CSC has transferred technical know-how, and provided designing support to CSMC to expand into the engineering and design integration business in the international market. CSMC has become one of the global heavy machinery suppliers with distinction. | ||
| PROSPECTS | ||
CSMC follows the CSC Group’s internalization and diversification business strategies and is positioned as a design and manufacturing center for the CSC Group. Not only does CSMC maintain a business model of providing high quality products at low costs, but its strategies also include integrating engineering and design abilities, offering EPC/turnkey services, forming alliances with major equipment manufacturers, and competing for global engineering projects.
