Because of steelmaker’s raw material shortage, inflated production cost, mill regular maintenance, and low steel inventory, the global steel supply is still insufficient to meet the strong demand in the fourth quarter. Major steel mills therefore continue to increase their prices for the 4th quarter. Following the international market trend, CSC decided to increase the prices of the domestic shipments for the 4th quarter moderately, so that the downstream customers may maintain their competitive advantage in global market.
