To enrich the summer vacation of the elementary school children in Siaogang, CSC offered diversified learning activities for their physical and mental development. In collaboration with Kaohsiung Municipal Chun-Shan Junior High School for the first time, CSC held the 2017 King of Wisdom Summer Camp for 100 students between July 17 and July 21 with the assistance from the CSC Educational Foundation this year. With well-designed interactive teaching aids, which made environmental education more diversified and lively, environmental education programs were held. Among them, the program, “Having Fun with Blast Furnace Slag,” was conducted with Q&A activities to help the participants to know more about the properties of blast furnace slag and its applications in cement, road paving, marine engineering, etc. from the perspective of resource reutilization regarding reduction of natural sandstone mining and carbon emissions as well as the importance of environmental protection.
