To celebrate Mother’s Day and promote filial piety as well as local education and culture, CSC commissioned Chung-Shan Junior High School, Siaogang District to hold the 2017 Ceremony for Recognition of Filial Piety and Granting of Meritorious Scholarships in Kaohsiung Municipal Social Education Center on May 11. 27 model students who were recommended by junior high schools and elementary schools and their parents as well as 51 representatives of the winners of the scholarships were commended. Approximately 700 attendees, including teachers, students, and parents, participated in this heartwarming activity. After the simple and solemn ceremony, the dancing troupe from Chung-Shan Junior High School and the orchestra from Min-yi Junior High School performed for the participants who enjoyed the excellent music and spent a touching and meaningful Mother’s Day.
