The 2015 King of Wisdom Summer Camp Held by CSC

To enrich the summer vacation of the school children in Siaogang, CSC offered diversified learning activities for their physical and mental development. In collaboration with Ganghe Elementary School, CSC held the 2015 King of Wisdom Summer Camp between August 10 and August 14 in two sessions. 100 elementary school students from Siaogang participated in this activity; 75% of them were from disadvantaged families (low-income, single-parent, or aboriginal families).

The summer camp included a lot of interesting classes, such as astronomical classes, classes regarding science applied in kitchens, art DIY classes, physical fitness classes, etc. It was hoped that environmental education could be more diversified and lively with the applications of the well-designed environmental protection and energy-saving teaching aids so that local students’ awareness of environmental protection could be enhanced effectively. Principal Chi-Feng Huang from Ganghe Elementary School said that people’s leisure activities nowadays circled around watching TV and playing games on computers as technology became more advanced. The curricular design of this year’s summer camp was emphasized on both science and artistic creativity, which allowed children to maintain the best intellectual condition to simultaneously gain knowledge and enhance their taste in arts.

General Manager Hui-Er Chang from CSC expresses that running a company is closely related to the development of a society; therefore, CSC takes part in activities that promote educational development vigorously in the hope that they will produce positive effects besides bringing a joyful and meaningful vacation for children.
