To celebrate Mother’s Day and promote filial piety as well as local educational and cultural levels, CSC commissioned Siaogang Junior High School to hold the Ceremony for Recognition of Filial Piety and Granting of Meritorious Scholarships at the school auditorium in 2015. 26 model students who were recommended by 17 junior high schools and elementary schools and their parents as well as representatives of the winners of the scholarships were granted the awards. Approximately 600 attendees including teachers, students, and parents participated in this heartwarming activity.

The ceremony was hosted by Acting Principal Hung from Siaogang Junior High School. Superintendent Huang from Education Bureau, Kaohsiung City Government, Secretariat Lin from Siaogang District Office, and principals of the junior high schools and elementary schools in Siaogang participated in the event and expressed their congratulations. General Manager Chang of CSC expressed that CSC cared about the society in addition to focusing on the development of its steel business, and that it paid attention to local education. With equal focus on both family and school education, he hoped that better and healthier generations of children could be raised in collaboration with social resources. In addition, he also wished everyone a Happy Mother’s Day in his speech.
