Maintaining a good community relationship is CSC's concept of community friendliness. CSC actively participates in activities which promote the development and quality of living in the neighboring communities. Periodical relief funds are set up to help low-income residents and people who live by themselves, and scholarships are allocated to local students as encouragement to their future schooling.
Celebrations that show respect to the aged in the Siaokang area on the Double Ninth Festival are held annually. The trip of steel making is also held for the residents in the neighboring communities to help them know more about CSC, which endeavors to make contributions to the society in which the old are respected and the young are carefully looked after.
Based on the list of low-income recipients, provided by the Bureau of Social Affairs, Kaohsiung, CSC provides annual consolatory subsidies during the Chinese New Year, Dragon Boat Festival and Moon Festival, respectively.

Each May, CSC holds a Scholarship and Award Ceremonyto encourage elementary and high school students who have outstanding academic performance and show filial respect to their parents. One student from each class will receive an individual scholarship and a certificate of merit for his/her achievements.
The impoverished residents in the Siaogang District who face emergency situations can seek help from CSC.
CSC assists the Siaogang District Office and each community in arranging annual activities to honor senior citizens on the Double-Ninth Festival.
At the beginning of every year, a trip of steel is arranged for the 6th graders in elementary schools in the Siaogang District. The purpose is to introduce the steel production process to them.
