  • Chao-Tung Wong

    • Dr. Chao-Tung Wong, Master of Business Administration of National Sun Yat-sen University and Ph.D. in Resources Engineering of National Cheng Kung University, is the Chairman of CSC. Dr. Wong joined CSC in 1980 and had successively served as the General Manager of Public Affairs Department, the General Manager of Human Resources Department, and in 2004, the Vice President of the Administration Division. In 2009, he served as the Chairman of CHC Resources Corporation.
      In 2011, Dr. Wong was appointed as the Chairman and President of China Steel Sumikin Vietnam Joint Stock Company (renamed to China Steel And Nippon Steel Vietnam Joint Stock Company in 2019), where he successfully completed the establishment of the plant. Dr. Wong successively served as the Chairman of China Ecotek Corporation and the President of CSC in 2016, and was elected by the board of directors in the same year as the chairman of CSC until now.
      Dr. Wong also serves as an Managing Director of the Industrial Technology Research Institute, the Chairman of Taiwan Steel and Iron Industries Association, and is responsible for the energy-saving, carbon reduction, and carbon neutrality initiatives at CSC.
  • Wen-Sheng Tseng

    • Mr. Wen-Sheng Tseng, Bachelor of Civil Engineering of National Taiwan University, currently serves as the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C.
      Mr. Tseng had served as the Director General of the Kaohsiung City Government's Bureau of Economic Development in 2013 to 2018. Since 2018, he has served as the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
      Mr. Tseng currently also serves as the Acting Chairman of Taiwan Power Company, the CEO of the Green Energy Industry Promotion Center and the CEO of the Circular Economy Promotion Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Mr. Tseng has made significant contributions to the economic development and the sustainable environmental management of businesses of Taiwan.
  • Ming-Jong Liou

    • Dr. Ming-Jong Liou, Master of Operations Research of Stanford University in the United States and Ph.D. of Industrial Management of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, had served as a director of the Board of CSC from 2012 to 2016 and resumed the position in 2020.
      From 2008 to 2013, he had served as the Executive Director of the State-Owned Enterprise Commission. From 2014 to 2019, he had served as the Director General of the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C. From 2019 to 2023, he was appointed as the Executive Director of the State-Owned Enterprise Commission, where he contributed significantly to the resource integration and performance improvement of state-owned enterprises.
  • Shyi-Chin Wang

    • Dr. Shyi-Chin Wang, Master of Mechanical Engineering of National Taiwan University and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering of National Sun Yat-sen University, is the President of CSC. He joined CSC in 1981 and had successively served as the General Manager of Iron and Steel Research and Development Department, Assistant Vice President of the Technology Division, Vice President of the Technology Division, and the Executive Vice President. Since 2019, he has been serving as the President of CSC.
      Dr. Wang also holds the position of the Chairman of China Steel Power Corporation and is responsible for the Digital Transformation Promotion Task Force at CSC. He had previously served as the Chairman of Dragon Steel Corporation and as a member of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee of CSC.
      Dr. Wang received several awards, such as the Outstanding Research Award from the Executive Yuan, R.O.C. in 1992, the Chan's Paper Award from the Chinese Institute of Engineers in 1994, and the 25th National Manager Excellence Award from the Chinese Professional Management Association in 2007.

    • Mr. Chien-Chih Hwang, Bachelor of Science in Economics of Tunghai University, Taiwan, serves as the Executive Vice President and Spokesperson of CSC.
      Mr. Hwang joined CSC in 1985. In 2016. Mr. Hwang was appointed the Vice President of the Commercial Division of China Steel Sumikin Vietnam Joint Stock Company (renamed to China Steel And Nippon Steel Vietnam Joint Stock Company in 2019) and was promoted as the Vice President of the Commercial Division of CSC in 2018. Since 2019, he has been serving as the Executive Vice President of CSC.
      Mr. Hwang concurrently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer, Corporate Governance Officer of CSC, a member of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee of the Board of CSC, and the Chairman of Dragon Steel Corporation as well.
  • Shou-Tao Chen

    • Mr. Shou-Tao Chen, Bachelor of Power Mechanical Engineering Department of National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, serves as the Vice President of Production Division of CSC. Mr. Chen joined CSC in 1985 and concurrently serves as the Chairman of China Steel Machinery Corporation.
      Mr. Chen was appointed, in 2015, the General Superintendent of the Rolling Mill Department of Dragon Steel Corporation. In 2016, Mr. Chen was appointed as the Assistant General Superintendent of the Rolling Mill Department II and, in 2017, the General Superintendent of the Rolling Mill Department II and, in 2019, the Assistant Vice President of the Production Division of CSC. Since 2021, he has been serving as the Vice President of the Production Division of CSC.
  • Cheng-I Weng

    • Dr. Cheng-I Weng, Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering of the University of Rochester in the United States and Honorary Doctor of Literature of Gyeongsang National University in South Korea, is an Honorary Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University.
      Dr. Weng had served as the chairman of Taiwan Machinery Corporation (now CSC Machinery Corporation) from 1988 to 1989 and he had served as the president of National Cheng Kung University in 1997, the chairman of the National Science Council in 2000, and the chairman of the Industrial Technology Research Institute in 2001. Dr. Weng had also served as the chairman of the National Applied Research Laboratories from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, he had served as the president of Fo Guang University from 2006 to 2010. Dr. Weng, internationally renowned for his academic achievements, devoted himself to the development of the country's industrial economy and technology, and his contributions has been profound.

    Representing Labor Union of China Steel Corporation

    • Mr. Chun-Sheng Chen, graduated from the National Taitung Junior College, with a major in Electrical Engineering, currently serves as the President of the Labor Union of CSC.
      Mr. Chen had been served as a technician in the Blast Furnace Maintenance Unit of the Ironmaking Department of CSC, representative of the Labor-Management Conference, representative in collective bargaining negotiations, director, and executive director of the Labor Union of CSC.
      In 2018, Mr. Chen was elected the 13th President of the Labor Union of CSC, and consecutively the 14th President in 2021. Mr. Chen also serves as a member of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee of the Board of CSC, as well as a director of China Steel Recreation Co., Ltd. With his long-term dedication to the service of the Enterprise Union of CSC, Mr. Chen possesses extensive experience in labor-management negotiations and safeguarding labor rights.

    • Dr. Shyue-Bin Chang, Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of Cornell University in the United States, serves as the convener of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee, a member of the Audit Committee, and a member of the Remuneration Committee of the Board of CSC. Dr. Chang had involved in Taiwan's independent development of fighter jets and served as the Deputy Project Leader, and had concurrently held the position of Senior Vice President at International Turbine Engine Company from 1985 to 2000. From 2000 to 2021, he had been served as a Chair Professor at Kao Yuan University, Taiwan, where he had also been served as the Acting President from 2016 to 2017 and as the Vice President from 2018 to 2021.
      Dr. Chang had also been served as the Chairman of Innowings Investment & Consulting Corporation, a director of the Board of Air Asia Co., Ltd., the Convener of the National Energy Program's Alternative Energy Focus Group, and an advisory member of the Defense Technology Industry Development Review Committee of the Executive Yuan, R.O.C. Currently, Dr. Chang also serves as the Convener of the Electric Bus Localization Technology Review Committee at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C., an independent director of Hiwin Mikrosystem Corp., and an independent director of Advanced International Multitech Co., Ltd.
      Dr. Chang won the Silver Medal at The Nuremberg Inventors' Fair iENA 2011 and the Gold Medal at the International Warsaw Invention Show 2011. He was also elected as a member of THE SOCIETY OF SIGMA XI in the United States.

    • Dr. Min-Hsiung Hon, Ph.D. in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, North Carolina State University in the United States, currently serves as Chair Professor Emeritus in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National Cheng Kung University. Dr. Hon is the Convener of the Remuneration Committee, a member of the Audit Committee, and a member of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee at the Board of CSC.
      Dr. Hon had served as the President of Da-Yeh University in 2004. He had also held positions as the President of the Materials Research Society-Taiwan and the Director of the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre. Dr. Hon has made significant contributions to the development of materials science in Taiwan.

    • Dr. Lan-Feng Kao, Ph.D. in Accounting of National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, currently serves as a professor in the Department of Finance at National University of Kaohsiung. Dr. Kao is an expert in accounting and financial management and serves as the convener of the Audit Committee, a member of the Remuneration Committee, and a member of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee at the Board of CSC.
      From 2011 to 2013, Dr. Kao had served as the chair of the Department of Finance at National University of Kaohsiung, where she led and managed the academic development of the department. Her expertise and extensive experience have significant influence in nurturing the next generation of financial professionals.
